Peter Roberts
nights, days/1 summer midnight
big buttercup circle moon
resting in black, empty sky
makes yellow lines & rings
on rippled dark water.
we sit on sleeping bags
& surround the campfire.
we share cheap wine,
fresh apples, & hashish.
some speak, some listen,
& some watch the moon
paint symbols with yellow
light on the pond.
