The Musician at the End of The Cemetery

she tunes the dead:
cadaver skin stretched taut
in chromatic scales of putrefaction
sounded with hammers of bone;
sinews tightened by heat and salt
until a carrion call is made;
a carillon of corpses
to pluck upon the heartstrings
and when her masterpiece is complete
she will fashion a clarion
of bladders and intestines properly cured
and herald the last battle
to end the world
