Craig Allen aka Corwyn Allen

trees,
lights,
and a
mother, years
gone, buried, nearly
forgotten, just like her own life.

She
looks
down at
her raw, red
hands, the cast off gloves
gleaned from some refuse bin, in need

of
thread,
needle,
some tender
care, like her own life.
She looks up to find the girl is
gone, fading into
memory.
Like her
own
life.

Bio

Craig Allen has been dabbling in poetry for several years, but it's only in the last two, since discovering the writing community in Second Life that his skills and repertoire have grown. Craig likes the structure of form poetry, writing haikus, triolets, sonnets and even the odd sestina, but also appreciates the looseness of free form verse. Craig is known in Second Life as Corwyn Allen where he not only writes but reads poetry, runs poetic themed events and also acts with the Avatar Repertory Theater.
