Greeting

At
dusk
I raise
my paddle
in recognition
as I glide past a moon so large
that it must have a special name, it's glow so glossy
though its edges might be marred by aimless cloud, sea-sparkle glints across this peaceful bay.
I see strangers, unknown people, on the other shore
call out to them to ask their view,
if we all can share
contentment
on this
glad
day.
