Fibonacci Collages - An Experiment in Comic Timing

Mr
George
Chaplin Wayling
a surgeon-dentist
was indicted for having stolen
and consumed, 5,000 cubic feet of gas
belonging to the Bury Gas Co. The prisoner had forced back the meter.

"Wailing and Gnashing of Teeth!" - A Fibonacci Collage from a report in the Ipswich Express, reprinted by The Morning Post, 2.11.1853.

I'm pleased to tell you that Mr Wayling got off, since though he had diverted all that gas, he did pay for what still showed as used on the metre.
It can't really have been anaesthetic gas, alas!
