RUNNING THE RACE, AND RUNNING AND RUNNING.

"I
win!"
I said,
as I crossed
the line, the finish
though, was just the same as the start.
Around and around I ran, going where I had been,
Heading for where I would be, running the human race with a lot of mixed company.
And the prize for first? Just the same as the prize for last.
The pleasure of running the thing.
And to qualify?
Be human.
Ready.
Set.
Go!

A TALE OF MY TAIL.

My
tale
is sad.
I have felt
Such pain as poets
Write about: the pain of parting;
The pain of remembrance, the pain of God letting go.
And through it all, my tail was low, beaten down, between my legs, between my broken dreams.

Now the memories are far away, and I have known the comfort of another's grace;
I have seen the shadow of angels holding up dreams;
I have learned to rise, and I rise,
My tail now swishes
As I reach
My hand
To
You.

OK, WHO IS THE AUTHOR OF THIS MESS ANYWAYS?

"Does
This
Story
Have an end?"
She growled at me.
I sighed and thought of an ending
That would satisfy both of us, in equal measure.

But an ending happy for either would have to be unhappy for the other one.

So I sighed and shook my head, wishing that I could get
My own Deus ex Machina,
And finish this thing.
Some stories
It seems
Don't
End.

Y-RATED

Life.
Mine.
Lean close.
I'll tell you
the adult version.
X-rated? You know, people pay
big bucks to hear all of the juicy, creamy details.

And yes, there were many nights of passion, twining limbs and the shared heat of ecstasy.

X-rated. Oh, of course it’s NC 17, though we all know its X with those three sexy babes clinging to the hunk that is playing me...

And yes, he does look a little like I did on that Thursday night in the hospital
When I was so sick, and clung to you like I might die.
The parts that will stay burned in me,
Mean nothing to them.
Y-rated,
for You.
For
Us.
